Vernice
Liquida and the Doratura varnishes are linseed oil-based varnishes. The clear
varnishes are mixed with pumice to create a ground coat which is rubbed
into the wood to create a smooth surface before applying the colored
varnish. The Glassa varnishes are amber-based and are glossier than the
regular sandarac-based varnishes. Each bottle of varnish comes with a seperate siccative that should be mixed into the varnish before applying to the instrument to aid in the drying process.

Classical Italian Walnut Oil Varnishes are a new product offered by Magister. These varnishes are fast-drying walnut oil varnishes intended to be brushed on and padded to desired coat thickness if needed. The
dried varnish film has a dense, enamel like surface with a high gloss
level and allows for an even higher level of clarity and dichroic
effect than the Doratura varnishes.
